I am thrilled that Mattel is offering so many characters lately. Who would've thought we'd ever see Booster Gold in plastic form?

Of course, Booster was painted black instead of blue. And while some might see the gold paint Mattel used as okay, I prefer the flat yellow as seen on the show. Normally, paint discrepancies like this don't bother me enough to warrant a repaint, but since I was making booster's best pal Blue Beetle, it just made sense to finish Booster, too.

Nothing fancy here, just a more accurate paint job. I suppose if I was really picky I'd have swapped the head onto an Amazo body to be more accurate... but I'm not.

I did cheat a bit, thought. The star is decoupaged on. No sense painting what I don't have to.

P.S. Thanks to Tyke for showing me how good this could look!

UPDATE: I've been receiving many compliments and questions as to how I painted Beetle and Booster's lines so straight. Sadly, there is no secret. That's simply the result of patience, practice and a steady hand.
