This one is entirely Quartermain's fault. Quartermain created an excellent Krypto using a Secret Saturdays Cryptid figure. I thought using the Cryptid as a base was a great idea, so I filed it away in the back of my mind. Some time later, I came across some Cryptids on clearance. I snagged several, thinking they would look great in Superman's fortress zoo.

Quartermain used the larger dog-like creature, and it looked great. I opted to use the Komodo Dragon piece, as I preferred its smaller stature. As the work-in-progress photo shows, I built up the back and created the head with Super Sculpey, shortened the tail, and added spikes made of Magic Sculpt. The claws probably should have been trimmed, but they'll do for now.
